Tucker needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
Hi, I’m Tucker! I weigh about 45–50 pounds and I’m looking for a patient, loving home.
I came from a home where I didn’t get much training or attention, which made me anxious and mouthy when I got overwhelmed. With time, consistency, and care, I’ve made great progress and am no longer mouthy. I’m still learning how to manage excitement and build confidence.
I will go into my crate willingly, but I do get anxious if I’m in there too long, so I do best with limited crate time and a home where someone is around often. I can sometimes be cautious with food and may take treats to another room or prefer eating from a Kong. I usually feel most comfortable eating when my person is nearby.
I’m a smart boy and know several commands and phrases, including sit, no, no bite/no scratch, want love (pets), outside, go for a drive, neighbors, front door, bedtime, and go to the store.
My favorite reward is getting to nap on the bed with my person. I’m a loyal, loving dog who just wants to feel safe and close to my people. *******************************************
The adoption fee is $400, which covers vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet. All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age. Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed.
