Adoption Process

♥ Apply to Adopt
Complete our adoption application.  All adopters must be at least 21 years old.

♥ Consultation and References
After we receive your application, an application coordinator will reach out to discuss your interest in a new family member.   We will contact your personal references and current veterinarian to ensure all animals in your household are up to date on vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventative.

♥ Meeting a dog
Once your application is approved, we will arrange a meeting with the Pawfect dog.  Depending upon the circumstances, this can occur at an event, the foster home, or the applicant’s home.  We require that all human and canine family members meet the Pawfect dog.  If the dog has special needs, we may require a home visit. 

♥ Finalize the Adoption
After a successful meeting, the new owner will sign the adoption contract and pay the $400 adoption fee.  This fee covers age-appropriate vaccinations, wellness exam, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, and current dose of flea/tick/heartworm preventative.  All Pawfect Match dogs go home with a collar, leash, and a Pawfect Match tag.

At Pawfect Match™ Rescue we believe every dog deserves a second chance regardless of breed, age, or background.   We know we cannot save them all.  But by dedicating ourselves to one dog at a time, we can understand each dog fully and match them to a suitable family. This approach creates a win for both the dogs and the families who welcome them.
