Joy aka Pearl came to her foster home with her two tiny puppies after being in the shelter where she started shutting down. She was a new mom (& still a puppy herself) who was sad and scared of just about everything. Her puppies have since been weaned and she is slowly coming to understand what it feels like to live in a safe place and feel loved. She has come a long way in her 2 months and now loves being brushed, going outside and chasing the ball (hasn’t quite figured out that she can bring it back yet), playing with toys and watching her fish friends on tv. She is the perfect house guest as she only needs to go outside twice a day and does her business almost immediately. She will make her human(s) her whole world, but needs lots of patience and kindness as she continues to come out of her shell. She would do well being an only dog or with an older, calm dog who can show her the ropes.
