We are hosting an event on October 19th in Phydeaux Raleigh where customers can have their dog's picture taken and possibly put on in the new restaurant Chuy's when they open in Raleigh. The restaurant features a section called La Chihuahua'a bar where the pictures would be featured. Representatives of Chuy's will come out that day to do the photo shoot, taking $5 donations to benefit a rescue of our choosing. Join us for one of our special classes and workshops – admission to each event is a donation to the rescue (we suggest a minimum donation of $10 per person per class). Many of these classes are special one-time events, so don’t miss out on these special opportunities. You can also visit the studio between 4 and 6pm to visit with dogs and puppies available for adoption with Pawfect Match. Please note that the rescue does not do same-day adoptions – an application and home check process are required to complete adoptions – but this is a great chance to meet and play with some furry friends and get some free puppy kisses! Class descriptions are below. For safety reasons we will have class capacities, so call the studio at (919) 651-0447 or e-mail us at openartsnc@gmail.com to reserve your spot. 9:00-9:45am – Storytime Dance & Music We will start our morning off with sharing a story together and then will re-create, re-tell, and explore the themes of our story through playful dances and music. All ages are invited to join us for morning stortytime but parents/caretakers should plan to participate with kids 2 and under. Come in something comfortable to move in and we will play/dance/sing in our bare feet! 10:30-11:30am – Family Yoga Bring the whole family for a fun and flexible yoga class led by our lovely Ms. Heather! Share the joy of breathing, stretching, growing, and relaxing together with your whole family, then go out into your weekend feeling connected and grounded. No yoga experience necessary – this class is a perfect introduction to yoga and also fun and appropriate for families with serious yoga skills! 1:30-2:30pm – Adult Yoga Workshop More specific information will be available soon – but this class will be appropriate for all levels (including beginners). 3:00-4:00pm – Puppy Dog Crafts & Dance Workshop We will make some fun take-home dog crafts together and then do some doggy dance games and activities. All ages 3 & up are welcome, but this class is specifically geared toward 3-6 year olds. No dance experience necessary – come in something comfortable to move in and we will dance in our bare feet! 4:00-6:00pm – Adopt-a-Thon & Free Puppy Kisses Make plans to stop by the studio to visit with dogs and puppies that are available for adoption. See first-hand where your donations are going to and make sure you fill up on all the free puppy love and puppy kisses you want. This is a floating event – stop by any time to meet and greet then come back at 6pm for our wrap-up event! 6:00-6:45pm – Glow-in-the-Dark Family Dance Party Celebrate the end of a great day of community and service with our Glow-in-the-Dark Family Dance Party! We will gear up with glow sticks and make glow-in-the-dark decorations then we will turn down the lights and participate in everyone’s favorite group dances. All ages are welcome – even adults will have a blast at this one – celebrate good times with us!!
