Gracie was rescued from a neglect situation where she was kept 24/7 in a small crate as the novelty of her as a Christmas present wore off. But she is thriving now in her foster home with other dogs and learning from them. She is timid around adults and new situations at first, but gains so much confidence when in the company of other happy dogs. Her perfect home would be one that is more on the calm side than rowdy. Therefore, we prefer her new home to be one that if there are children, they are over 10 years old. Because she needs a safe place with space to romp and burn off a little puppy energy, she will require a home with a fenced-in back yard. Once she is done playing, she's a real cuddler. That snores. Cute puppy snores. Gracie has typical puppy high energy, once she is used to her environment. She might even have more than a sprinkle of Jack Russell in her lineage. She enjoys playing with toys, and knows how to play by herself, although she'd rather engage play with you. When she plays with a tennis ball, she swats it around with her paws like a cat. Her coat is soft and silky, she is quite curious, and she's catching on well to house-training with a doggie door. We think she's a super smart girl!
