Dixie is a dainty and mellow 2 year old beagle. She is recovering from a broken leg and collar bone with no complaints. As if that wasn't enough for a little 13" beagle to deal with, she is also being treated for heartworms, but none of this has dampened her cuddly nature and sweet disposition. Dixie gets along well with other dogs in her foster home and when she met a cat nose-to-nose, she wasn't phased in the least, although the cat was somewhat perplexed by Dixie's nonchalant behavior. Dixie is crate-trained and almost completely house-trained.

Dixie will be available for adoption mid-August as she will then be out of her leg sling and will have completed her heartworm treatment by that time. We are accepting applications for Dixie now.
