Prada came to us via Johnston County Animal Shelter.  She was supposed to be a male with a bum leg but she turned out to be a female with a bum leg AND pregnant.  Someone saw fit to shoot her in her back leg with a shotgun and it shattered all her bones all the way up to the hip.  She is also heartworm positive.  Once she delivers (hopefully in a week or two) and weans her pups we will schedule surgery to have her leg removed and begin her heartworm treatment.  In the interim if you would like to contribute towards her care please make a donation on our website at www.pawfectmatch.org.
If you'd like to be considered for adoption of Prada we'd be happy to pre-approve your application now if you'd like to submit one.

UPDATE: Prada had her pups on March 5, she has 7 beautiful pups who are growing like weeds. She is a great Mom. She is also a very very sweet girl and will be looking for a great forever home soon, she will be having her leg amputated and heartworm treatment starting in about 6 weeks.
