Meet Vaughn aka Gimpy!  He's one of only 2 puppies left of a litter of 12.  You see, they were living on the porch of an abandoned house off a very busy highway in a not so nice neighborhood. :(
10 of the puppies got run over one by one before someone finally called animal control yesterday because of Vaughn.  He had been hit by a car also at some point and we all thought his leg was broken.  Turns out it isn't but there is some damage there from the impact that our vet is working to correct.  He's a very sweet, handsome boy despite his rough start in life.  He really deserves a home with someone that will spoil and love him!  If that home is yours please fill out an application for him.  You won't be disappointed!

UPDATE:  After 2 months our veterinarian has decided that Gimp's foot is getting worse instead of better so he's in the hospital to get his leg removed.  Although we are disappointed he will be a much happier little boy when he doesn't have to drag that dead weight around.  He is the sweetest boy around and if you haven't had an opportunity to meet him you definitely should!!  I will update his page when he is home and let everyone know how he's doing.

11/7/10 - It's been 9 days since my surgery and I'm doing GREAT!  Took me a little while to get my balance back but now I run around the yard like I always did.  I'm much happier too now that I don't have to drag that dead weight of a leg around anymore!  I'm ready for my new forever home now too, come see me!!
