Meet sweet Ansel, also know as Bullet Boy.  One of our local animal control officers found this boy wandering around with an injury to his neck.  He brought him to the shelter and one of our foster's took him in.  When we first got him there was a wound on his neck which we thought was a puncture from a dog bite and his balance was very off.  When we got him to the vet, through x-rays we discovered that poor Ansel had been shot and there was a bullet lodged in his jaw.  One of our vets spent over 1 1/2 hours trying to remove the bullet but was unable to do so without causing more harm than good.  So the bullet was left in and Ansel is doing fabulous!  He does not have any medical issues as a result but he does cock his head to one side a little and has a little problem with his balance when he shakes his head.  Other than that, he is a great little boy who enjoys snuggling in laps and playing with puppies.  Won't you please consider giving this darling boy a great home?
