Cora is 9yrs young and has had a bit of an up-and-down life, but thru it all she is a happy gal. She dances every morning and when her foster mom returns from work / errands.

She lived the perfect pet life for 6 yrs with her adoptive mom and Grady (another foster dog) until the economy took their home away.

She is a little unsure of strangers, but she really likes people attention, getting petted - and especailly belly rubs. She just needs a little time to get to know a new person.

She's okay with other dogs. She prefers to ignore them and can be a bit frightened by ones larger than her and those that want to be in her face alot. She lived with Grady for 6 years - and they are together in their foster home, so she does fine with him. She loves to take long naps, look out the windows on nice days and go for car rides and walks.

She would do best in a  relatively calm, quiet home.  She has never been around kids, so there activity level will frighten her. She will announce anyone coming around her home, so she's a good "alarm barker". She settles readily after announcing that something is "different".

She is housebroken, leash trained, knows some basic obedience commands and is crate trained. She really doesn't need a crate, but she goes in willingly and likes hanging out in there when the foster puppies that reside with her are in "active mode". She's just under 50lbs, a perfect size for hugging, loving and going on walks! She's been spayed, heartworm negative, up to date with vaccinations, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

At her recent vet checkup, it was discovered that she has a heart-murmur. Doesn't bother her at all, she enjoys running around and exploring the yard like a typical hound. She really enjoyed running in the snow this past winter.

If you have space in your heart to give this happy gal her retirement home, she will provide you with more love and snuggle time than you can imagine!
