Print an adoption flyer for Boone!
Boone was found wandering in Richmond County, NC with severe injuries. He has buck shot in his neck and is unable to put weight on his front left leg. We think he was possibly hit by a car and then targeted by hunters Despite all this, Boone is an affectionate and sensitive dog. He loves people and just wants to be comforted. He is clearly in a lot of pain but it tolerating it while we wait for the antibiotics to do their thing and for ortho to consult on his leg. It is possible we may have to amputate-- but we will do whatever is in his best interest. Boone is a staff favorite at Walnut Street Animal Hospital. He is great with other dogs and loves kids. They estimate he is ~2 years old and 60 lbs. It breaks our hearts that someone could have treated such a beautiful, gentle creature so poorly. We will get him healthy and on the road to a full life. ***************************************************************** The adoption fee is $400, which covers vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet. All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age. Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed.
