Meet Penelope! This sweet girl was found running in and out of traffic in Winston Salem. A good samaritan was able to lure her to her using some treats and love to get her out of harms way. Penelope did not have a collar or a microchip, and unfortunately no one came forward to claim her. 

Penelope is full of love and will let you know it she wags her tail using her entire body. She even gave her foster mom kisses during her first bath. She has met many dogs, small and large, and has loved them all. Penelope doesn’t even bat an eye at the house kitty! 

Penelope has some energy, so a playmate or a fenced in yard is recommended. Penelope has spent time around two toddlers, and has been incredibly gentle and affectionate towards them - she would truly make a fantastic family dog. 

Penelope got to go on a trip to her local pumpkin patch, where she proved to be great on leash and unfazed by the strange noises of wagons rolling on the gravel, small children running and playing, and of all the strange smells. She was a fantastic pup on her outing, and she can’t wait to get out and explore some more!
