Meet Trixie – your pint-sized sidekick with a giant heart!

At just 18 months old and 18 pounds, Trixie is the perfect blend of playful puppy and snuggly lapdog. Rescued from a rough start, this Yorkie–Dachshund mix has bounced back beautifully and is now ready for her forever family.

Trixie loves a good game of fetch (her zoomies are top-notch), but she’s equally happy curling up with her person for a Netflix marathon. She adores long sniffy walks, plush couches, and—most of all—human companionship. She bonds quickly and loves hard, so she’ll do best with someone who can spend lots of time with her, like a work-from-home human or a younger retired couple looking for a devoted little shadow.

She’s smart, eager to please, and working on potty training like a champ. While she doesn’t know many cues yet, she’s highly motivated and ready to learn. She gets along well with other respectful dogs, is polite to cats, and is gentle with calm children.

Trixie does have some separation anxiety—she’ll tell you with her bark if she’s left behind. She’s making progress every day and finds comfort in chew toys (bonus: she’s adorable when she chews). Her funny bulldog-shaped legs are purely cosmetic and don’t slow her down one bit—stairs, zoomies, and squirrel chases are all fair game.

Soft white fur, sweet eyes, and a heart of gold—Trixie is truly made for love. She’s ready to give her whole self to a family who will cherish her in return.
