Hi! I'm Mavis! Boy did I have a hard start to life. My previous "family" put a wire through my leg and let me go. I survived for 8 months with that wire in my leg. These wonderful people then saved me and had the wire removed. Even better, I got to keep my leg. 

Now life is good. I have gained my weight back (65lbs) and I'm ready to find my forever home! I'm a 4 year old shepherd so I have plenty of life to live. I'm good with dogs and cats. I'm good in a crate but I don't need one. I'm a good girl and don't get into things. I'm also housetrained. Who would want to use the bathroom in a place like this!!! I am a little shy but 8 months on the run and a mean person will do that to you. 

My ideal home would be a laid back place. I don't like busy households. They make me nervous. I would prefer a home with just one or two people and some doggy friends. I need a fenced in yard so I can enjoy the sun and lay around with my fur friends.
