Meet Carmen — The Sweetheart with Endless Zoomies and Kisses!

Carmen is a lively 1 year and 4-month-old pup, weighing about 40 pounds, who’s ready to fill your life with love and laughter.

Her journey hasn’t been easy. After her family moved away and left her behind, Carmen was picked up by Animal Control following a snowy night. At the shelter, she was scared and withdrawn, spending her days trembling in the corner. But the moment she arrived in her foster home, Carmen’s true personality shone through—full of energy, joy, and puppy curiosity!

Carmen is a ball-loving fetch enthusiast and has impressive air-time—she’d make an excellent frisbee player! She loves her squeaky toys, chew toys, and zoomies around the yard. Despite her playful nature, she’s also a big snuggler who adores giving kisses and sitting on your lap. Praise lights her up, and she thrives on learning new tricks.

She has previously shared her home with five dogs and two cats. Carmen respects her senior foster sister’s boundaries and is learning that her crate is a safe, cozy spot.

Leash-trained and gentle on walks, Carmen enjoys mental challenges like frozen Kongs and treat puzzles, showing off her intelligence and eagerness to please. While she can be shy with new people at first, she quickly warms up and showers them with affection.

Carmen is a playful, affectionate, and sometimes somewhat vocal girl who needs a home with a yard where she can safely run and play. She’s best suited for a family with older, considerate kids and people who understand her youthful energy and sweet nature.
