Meet Atlas, a sweet and affectionate 6-month-old Rottweiler who’s ready to find his forever home! Atlas is already proving to be a great companion, with a calm demeanor, friendly personality, and a love for both people and other dogs. He’s the perfect combination of playful and relaxed—he loves to run around with other dogs, but he’s also just as content snuggling up for some quiet affection.
Atlas is a gentle soul with a heart full of love. He’s affectionate, enjoys being around his people, and loves playing with toys. He’s calm in the house and has adjusted beautifully to a multi-dog environment, getting along wonderfully with his canine housemates—whether big or small. He’s also got a good sense of humor, often collecting shoes (but he doesn’t chew on them, just “collects” them).
While Atlas doesn’t bark much, he will join in when his male Husky housemate gets vocal or when he’s trying to get his female Husky sibling to play outside. He’s definitely a fun-loving pup who enjoys the company of others!
Atlas is crate-trained and has made great progress with house training. He’s been doing his business outside, but as a precaution (and in the spirit of fairness with the other dog), he wears a belly band indoors to prevent any marking competition with his male dog buddy. He’s highly food-motivated, which makes him an eager learner—he’s already picking up “sit” like a pro! With some continued guidance, Atlas will become an even more well-rounded pup.
Atlas would thrive in a home with an active family who can give him the love and attention he deserves. He’s great with older kids and would do well with another dog to play with, or as an only dog with plenty of attention and playtime. While he’s doing well in his current home with three dogs, he’d also be comfortable in a quieter environment as long as he gets daily interaction and mental stimulation.
Atlas is looking for a family that will continue his training and give him lots of love. He’s a smart, affectionate boy who just needs a little guidance to continue his journey into becoming the perfect companion!
