Sweet Pumpkin is a survivor from Hurricane Helene.  Her family lost everything in the disaster and gave her to the rescue as they could no longer take care of her.

Pumpkin has transitioned well to her foster home and loves playing with kids, other dogs, and is respectful of the cats.  She is growing into her full potential and will be an amazing family member.

Update Oct. 17th:
This sweet girl has been with us for almost 2 weeks. She will steal your heart with her big brown eyes, snuggles and snores. She's adjusted so well!

She's house trained and will let you know when she needs to go out and doesn't need to go out in the middle of the night or crazy early in the morning.

We have another dog that is a bit of an older guy that loves to play. The first day or so she was a little shy and just kind of ignored him. But once he got her to play they have been best friends and they now have daily wrestling matches.

She's also been really great with our two cats. Our big orange guy has been bossing her around and our other cat doesn't like anyone, but Pumpkin is determined to be friends with her.

She's learning basic commands and she is SO smart! She's learned how to sit, stay, down and place. She'll do anything for a treat. She's also learning to sit and wait on her food.

She's getting so much better at walks and being on a leash. She does get very excited whenever she sees a squirrel.

And she loves going to the park when we take our 4 year old. She gets excited to meet new people so we're still working on our manners, but she calms down quickly and will lay in the grass or at your feet. She loves to just sit, watch and take everything in.

She's has 2 speeds - full on zoomies and snoring on the couch. She's most excited in the morning and then again in the evening, but she spends most of her day lounging, snoring and laying in the sunshine.

She's a big snuggler -- she snuggles with us, our 4 year old, the dog and even the big orange cat. She just likes being close to someone. She's also been fine for short periods when we've left her.

She really is an amazing dog and whoever adopts will be the luckiest person in the world.
