Meet Lucy. Lucy and 46 of her “cell mates” were rescued from a puppy mill on 7/22/23. Lucy got her name that day.  She never had a name before.  Only a number.  Lucy is approximately 5-7 years old. We don’t know her actual birth day or even birth year because no records were kept on her.  Lucy has been impregnated approximately 9-13 times and whelped approximately 36-52 puppies.

She is very shy and learning how to trust and be a dog.  She has been spayed and given a full dental, and loves her foster mama. 

Lucy is learning how to walk on a leash and pee outside-- both things are new to her as she used to just live in a barn.

A new family will have to be very patient with her and keep her in a fenced yard until she is comfortable and won't try to run away.  She can escape many harnesses and collars, so we don't advise walking Lucy outside of a secured area just yet.
