How has Haleakala not been adopted?!? We don't understand. Usually the babies go fast and the mamas are here for a while. Meanwhile Mama Smokey was adopted months ago. That's how great of a dog she is!
Hi! I'm Haleakala! I am full of life and energy. I live up to my name - I'm charming and lively with a big heart and an adventurous spirit. I love being outside. If you love hiking, I'm your girl! If you like play time, I'm also your girl! I'm always staying busy playing with my foster siblings.
I'm named after the stunning Haleakala National Park on the Hawaiian island of Maui, and like the park, I embody a unique blend of different characteristics that make me a perfect companion for anyone who appreciates the joys of nature and desires the love of a loyal dog.
Haleakala is a loving and affectionate pup who craves attention and affection from all people. She loves to snuggle up with her humans, cuddle, and play, making her an excellent choice for families with children or other pets. House training is a work in progress. She will go when taken out but forgets to ask when she is busy playing. She sleeps in her crate each night and while foster mom is at work.
This cute puppy is part of the "National Parks' litter that was born within the rescue in April 2023. These babies have never had a bad day!
