Chanel is a 10-pound chihuahua cutie. She enjoys being pet while sitting next to you on a couch. She loves following her foster sister, a terrier/chihuahua mix, and looks to her for clues on how to behave, except that Chanel doesn't bark! Quite different from most chihuahuas. She is house trained. She will go on short walks on a leash.

It would be best if Chanel is adopted into a home with another dog. Her foster sister is not social with other dogs, but that doesn't really bother Chanel. She would likely warm up quickly to a friendly dog. I don't know how she would react to a cat, but doesn't seem to have problems with the squirrels and rabbits she sees in the yard. Chanel needs to be in a home without small children. She is not a fan of chaos. She is anxious and avoids being picked up. She needs calmness and low stress. She likes to jump on the living room couches and chairs and lately makes a habit of jumping into whatever spot my husband has been sitting. I think she's a little jokester!
Chanel is crate trained and sleeps there at night. We currently feed her in her crate, mainly to keep her foster sister from getting to her food. During the day she has the run of our downstairs and is fine out of the crate when we leave the house. She enjoys going outside to our fenced yard and roaming around. She runs up on the deck when she's ready to go in.
