We have been asked to help an elderly pet owner find an awesome home for her dog Gracie. She is estimated to be between 7-8 yrs old and is healthy. She is used to a dog door with a fenced in yard. She isn’t good with other animals; but is reported to be very good with the owner’s grandchildren. She is used to being professionally groomed regularly, loves car rides and drools a lot when anxious. She is reported to be calm and somewhat of a couch potato; but that could be environmental rather than her preferred way to spend her days.The owner is relinquishing her as she is having difficulty navigating around the dog and has fallen several times (the owner, not the dog!). The family is supportive of this decision and they don’t have anyone in the family that can provide long-term “homing” of this dog due to work schedules and other pets already in the homes. "
