Delta and his siblings came from a backyard breeder bust in South Carolina.  Delta was dirty, covered in fleas, and absolutely petrified when he came to the rescue.

Now that Delta is learning what life is like living indoors with a warm bed and a bowl full of food, he is realizing that humans aren't all that bad.  While he is still a bit head-shy, Delta now loves to cuddle his foster parents and ask for pats.  He loves to play with his four-legged foster siblings and has even done wonderfully with the cats.  Delta has an 11-year-old human foster sibling, who he adores.  Delta would not do well in a home with younger children running around constantly (that can be scary), but middle - high school-aged kids would fit him well.

Delta loves to romp around the fenced-in backyard with his four-legged friends.  He has learned "sit" and "down" and is slowly acclimating to a harness and leash.  Delta gets motion sickness extremely quickly, making him pretty difficult to transport.  Delta's foster mom has been working on the issue with him, but he is not ready for "world travels."  Delta is a giant love bug who wants to be in the same room with you as often as possible.  Delta is a big boy at six months old and will only get bigger.  In true puppy fashion, he gets bored quickly, wants to sneak food off the counter, and likes to chew on anything he can find.  Delta needs a family willing to "puppy-proof" their home and attend Basic Obedience classes.  Above all, Delta is the "class clown." He keeps his foster family laughing at his daily antics.

Delta is adorable, but he is looking for a family that doesn't just think he's cute.  He needs a family that has the patience and understanding for a dog who hasn't had an easy life.  Doodles require frequent grooming, which is an added expense on top of traditional vet care.  Applications that include a grooming reference will be given priority.

Delta will require a fenced-in yard, another dog sibling, and a home with no young children.  Delta's foster mom will not respond to applications that do not meet those requirements.
