Hello my name is Dexter! I'm the perfect age for a family that doesnt have time (and energy) for a puppy, but needs the love of a dog! My life started out really hard. I was dumped outside in the HOT weather until this place called the shelter found me. It was loud there but luckily these nice people rescued me. When they got me I was still in rough shape. I didn't look the best. It was something called demomex? demohex? demodex? I don't know! I just know I was really itchy! I also had eye entropion in one of my eyes, but I'm all better now. 

I live with my foster mommy and daddy now! I'm much happier here. I have a fur-ster brother and a fur-ster sister who I love a lot! I wish I had a forever sister and brother, but they will do for now. Mommy says I'm really smart! I learned how to pee pee and poo poo outside in a week!  I never chew on anything except my toys.

I love all dogs and people. I LOVE to be loved but I'm not a big fan of people hugging me or being on my face(probably because my eyes used to really hurt).I also love food! I am crate trained! I love being in my crate! Mommy will tell me to go get in my crate and I go right to it! I also know sit. Mommy says I ride well in the car.

When I was found I was living in a dirt parking lot where semi-trucks were parked. I lived in a hole to protect myself from the coyotes for 3 weeks. Because of my past I have a few quirks. I am scared of the dark. When I go out to use the bathroom someone needs to be with me. I also have TERRIBLE nightmares most nights. Sometimes I wake up barking or snapping at the air. I also don't like being alone for a long time. If I am left alone, I must be crated. My crate is my safe place! I do love baby talk and will do an "elvis smile" to prove it. 

I am the bestest boy! Now all I need is a furever home. Can you be my fur-ever pawrents?
