Meet Nellie! She is one of the golden crew that was rescued from a property in South Carolina along with over 160 other dogs living in poor conditions as part of a suspected breeding operation. 

Nellie has likely spent her entire life outside and doesn't know what it means to have a loving family. But those days are over! This sweet as pie pup is adjusting to life inside, a warm place to sleep and quality food. She is understandably quite nervous about many "normal" things, like walking on a leash and crossing thresholds to go inside/outside. Even still, she is curious and loving and can almost always be found right by her foster momma's side.

Nellie will need time to adjust to this new life, but we are confident that with the right family she will make a terrific companion. At this time applications with children under 10 will not be considered, and a home with a resident dog(s) is preferred. 

Nellie is NOT quite ready to leave her foster home, but we are accepting applications while we make sure she is in tip top shape before being adopted. Please understand that while Nellie will very likely blossom into a social and outgoing dog, she needs time and support to get there.
