Momma Bear came to us pregnant from a hoarding case in SC we've been working for over a year on now.  Thankfully she's been caught and this will be her LAST litter.

All of her babies have been adopted in to loving homes and now it's Bear's turn.

Bear is a GREAT girl.  Almost perfection.  She's housebroken, not destructive, and loves her tribe.

Bear has spent her entire life on a property with little human interaction having litter after litter of puppies.  It takes her time to warm up to new people.  She warmed up quickly to her foster dad but it took 2 weeks and a lot of chicken jerkey before she loved the foster mom.  It's ok.  It was worth it.  That said, Bear doesn't have a mean bone in her body, she just wants you to think she does.  She's growly and barky with new people.  It takes time for her to warm up but once you've won her over she is yours for life!!

Anyone interested in adopting her will need to make multiple visits in her foster home to start the process.  We will not adopt her cold turkey in a new home.  How quickly she warms up to you will determine the timing for her adoption.  She has been through enough in her life that we want to be sure the transition is an easy one for her.  Please consider this can be a lengthy process before applying for adoption.  Also realize that she will be happiest in her own environment and not out and about in crowds.  If you are looking for a companion to take out in social situations she may not be the dog for you.  In time, little by little you can probably get her to enjoy walks and outings with family but not until she's 100% comfortable in her home and environment.  We've seen too many people try to rush this and the dog bolts and is gone :(   I can promise you that she is well worth the wait!
