Cookie is the GOODEST girl! She is happy, playful, snuggly, and has great house manners. She is very loved by her family, but unfortunately her older sibling is no longer tolerating her.  Her sibling is an anxious herding terrier mix, and that energy is not compatible.    Because of this, they are looking to find her a new home
Cookie is a She’s a big, strong girl at 60lbs, but she can curl into a surprisingly small couch potato. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle on the couch with humans.  She’s also very smart and eager to please. If you provide the treats, she will learn anything you wish! Sit, down, stay, guard (just pokes her head between your legs and sits), leave it, heal, and place are her best known commands. She doesn’t counter surf, but if something is left on a low table, she assumes it’s for her. She’s great about not chewing things that don’t belong to her and happily chooses from her toy box. She is happy in her crate and retreats there for calmness and sleeps well in it overnight. She also knows how to ring a bell at the door to alert the need to potty!
She has been professionally trained for leash reaction and manners, and free training conveys with her to her new furever family.
She loves CALM children, but does best in her crate if too many excited kids are around. She is amicable with calm dogs but prefers playing with her humans. She would do best with a calm, older dog that plays a little but isn’t pushy, if not being an only child.
Cookie is 1 year old, up to date on all her well checks and vaccines. She has seasonal allergies to grass and receives a Cytopoint injection 1x a month between late March and August. She’s on Simparica Trio for heart worm, tick, and flea prevention. She enjoys a bath (usually in the shower), brushing, and toothbrushing.
Cookie is older cat friendly, calm dog amicable, calm/older kid friendly (her current boy is 6 with dog manners). She can become protective of her family, so lots of early socializing with friends is recommended during the bonding period.
Cookie's mama, Creme Puff, was adopted by her foster home and the two are nearly identical.
Might you have room for this wonderful girl in your home?
