Spring has sprung and sweet momma Juniper (or Juju, as her foster affectionately calls her), is busy raising 5 adorable, healthy babies. She is doing a great job and all her pups are confident, playful, snuggly little ones. As cute as baby puppies are, momma dogs are just as (perhaps even more) deserving of loving homes! Here is what we know about this young lady:

·         Juju loves food and toys! This is great news as it has helped her bond with her foster mom and learn that new experiences can be good and fun. This will also be great for an adopter as they work on training.

·         Speaking of training, she will need some basic training, but overall Juniper has a lovely demeanor and no severe behavioral issues that we have seen. Juju was quite scared when she arrived at her foster home, but she has improved drastically and will continue to do so. Her adopter will just need to understand she *may* have some fear/anxiety for new environments and experiences. We are confident this will fade as she becomes adjusted to “the good life.”

·         Juniper is very polite on a leash (but is not formally leash trained). Right now, she is only taking quick little walks, so she isn’t far from her babies. She loves to be outside in her foster home’s fenced backyard running and playing with her pups and foster dog siblings.

·         Currently Juniper spends most of the day with her puppies in a spare room/puppy pen and she hasn’t had any accidents inside. This may change as she has greater access to the home, but her foster will continue to work with her to solidify her house training. At this time Juju has not been crated but does have access to a crate and often chooses to take a snooze inside.

·         Juju lives with two male foster dog siblings and gets along very well with them and even trusts them to be around her puppies. Juniper would love to have a doggy sibling in her new home.

Juju is a happy, loving girl and is still so young—only 14 months! She has so much life ahead of her and will make a great addition to a family that is committed to helping her adjust and appreciate “the good life.” Could Juniper be the pawfect match for you??
