Its hard to believe but in the last few weeks of January, Mellie spent 2 wks in the ICU staring death in the face.  She became septic from a combination of canine parvovirus and severe mastitis which nearly ended her life.  A puppy still herself, she is much too young to have undergone pregnancy and a litter of 11 (now 4).  But though this pup may have had a rough start to life, she is not letting that her keep her down.  She has bounced back remarkably and is as vibrant and lively as ever.  She is full of life and energy and would love a home with another dog to play with but would thrive in just about any home.  She loves Nayla bones and squeaky toys and will play tirelessly for hours.  Beware she has become an expert defluffer of the lamb chop squeaker toys!!! She is incredibly human oriented and thrives on attention and love.  She is a survivor and a true gem, and deserves an amazing home!  As she still has quite a bit of playfulness and the typical energy one see’s at her age, we would not recommend her for a family with very young children.
