Moody was brought into the rescue after being hit by a car and having his leg amputated. He is still learning how to run around on his three legs but he doesn't let it slow him down! He is such a cuddle bug and craves attention from his humans. He is very smart and receptive to training. He knows how to sit, lie down, and stay. He is potty-trained.

He loves walks but he can't go very far at one time due to his lost leg so he needs multiple short walks per day. He is picky about interacting with other dogs - he prefers dogs smaller than himself and tends to harass big dogs. He needs to be slowly introduced to them and should be supervised when playing. He requires medicine to treat seizures and he struggles with anxiety, though his foster parents have been working with him on that both with medication and training.

His foster parents think the perfect home for him is one with an experienced dog owner who will be committed to his training. They should be an active person or couple with another playful and patient dog. He would not do well in a home with young children because he can be grumpy/nippy - children around 15 years or older may be okay. He is okay with cats.

Though he is still learning how to be a good dog, Moody is a sweet boy who will reward the perfect adopter with endless love and affection.
