Meet Max - this gorgeous boy came to the rescue a few months ago - scared & unsocialized, having lived mostly in a crate for the first few months of life. He got adopted, along with another of our PMR pups and at first did well. Not sure what happened but he got himself into some trouble with the neighbor and had to be returned. Max is a smart little guy and needs to burn off his energy and use his brain for good. It seems that introductions and interactions on leash are bothersome to him so that needs work and management. All people should learn to approach dogs appropriately and not all dogs want someone coming up while theya re stuck on a leash with their person, hovering over and sticking hands and fingers in the face. Max is a lovebug at his foster home with his human and has met others humans this week and is doing well. Introductions to dogs off leash have gone well. Seems like the leash really plays a role in his issues. Max is also working on his potty training - we think because of his crate confinement so early on, he just can't figure out that he should wait to go outside - when you gotta go, you gotta go - but he's improving and LOVES to get praise when he goes outside - he seems to think it's pretty neat! lol - Max is a smart boy needing an adopter ready to commit to him AND training. He loves toys and food and treats - he's been learning to use enrichment toys and thinks the KONG wobbler is pretty neat for dispensing his food. This handsome boy deserves the best - is that you?
