This little guy has only been with us a couple of weeks and I am the proudest foster Mom ever! We weren't sure if his tail worked when we first got him because it was always tucked between his two shakey back legs. Now, we get kisses, nudges for loving, and tail wags because we are starting to be his people. Duke has the biggest, kindest soul, that will stir up trouble for an hour and then needs a nap.

Personaility: Shy, sweet, loving, playful but chill, with a hint of stubborness.
Duke will need someone that will provide postive reinforcement when he does something good because he isn't food motivated. His furever home will need to tell him he's a good boy and give lots of kisses. He allows humans to play with his toes, ears, and mouth without any issue (he loves a good ear rub). Duke will play with stuffed animals and balls. He also likes to wrestle....it doesn't last long, like I explained earlier, he's a young man with an old soul. He just likes to chill and maybe play a little, take a nap, go for a walk, nap, and then maybe play.

Furever Family traits needed: Pateint, encouraging, loving, and willing to teach.
Duke warms up to women faster than men, but he does get to trust men...just takes longer.
He is good with kids, but would probably do best with older kids that are willing to show him the ropes and not move so fast. He loves all dogs and would probably benefit from having a four legged brother or sister to help build his confidence but he is striving being a single dude getting all of the attention. We haven't tested him with cats but can if needed.

House manners: Working on everything and is making daily improvements.
Duke still has accidents in the house if not taken out frequently but showing great improvement. He stays in a crate while we are gone. He isn't a huge fan of his crate but he is starting to go in it when he's told. He sleeps in our bedroom at night without any accidents and likes to occasionally sneek on the bed when he thinks we are sleeping. Treats are taken gently and can be taken away without any incidents. He isn't food or toy aggressive. We will be starting on basic commands like sit, stay, and down now that we have built trust with him.

Vaccines: Up to date on all shots and is micro chipped. He is unaltered but will be neutered before being adopted.
