Elfie and Roo came together from a hoarding situation with deplorable conditions from a situation where they had little human contact. Over the last couple of months they have learned to trust humans slowly. They were pretty sick when they arrived with Erlichia, a tickborne infection, and they are also heartworm positive. They are getting ready to begin their first round of heartworm treatment in the next week. They love to eat and call out to their humans when they are hungry. 

Roo is pretty sketical of new people but will do well with consistent positive feedback in trust. She does not try to bite or nip; she only tries to squirm when held. As soon as the door is opened to their room, she and Elfie run out and stay right behind you until they get their food. Roo is improving slowly and will only get better in her forever home.

These girls can be adopted separately or together. We are now taking applications for a foster to adopt situation until they finish heartworm treatment.
