Elfie and Roo came together from a hoarding situation with deplorable conditions. Over the last couple of months they have learned to trust humans slowly. They were pretty sick when they arrived with Erlichia, a tickborne infection, and they are also heartworm positive. They are getting ready to begin their first round of heartworm treatment in the next week. They love to eat and call out to their humans when they are hungry. Elfie lets you pick her up and snuggle her and will do well with consistent positive feedback in trust. As soon as the door is opened to her room, she runs out and stays right behind you until she gets her food. She's come so far and we only expect her to improve more. These girls can be adopted separately or together. We are now taking applications for a foster to adopt situation until they finish heartworm treatment.
