Freya is a calm, slightly shy, sweetheart of a girl with an infectious smile.  She came from an abusive situation, and so she is shy at first.  But she has learned her name-- very smart-- and warms up quickly to those who give her love.

Freya is heartworm positive and is in treatment.  We will do a foster to adopt through her heartworm treatment for an approved adopter. :)   Heartworms are not communicable at this stage between dogs and she is on activity restriction.  Once this is done, she will have a clean bill of health

• She has the most luxurious tail that wags in a full pinwheel-like circle when happy
• She has become housetrained easily and learned the doggie door effortlessly
• She is extremely gentle without a hint of aggression
• She is good with dogs, kids, and ignores cats

• Anything peanut butter
• Cuddling on your lap
• Snoring

Dislikes

• Being left alone too long-- she will bark / vocalize
• Walking on a leash.. she doesn't quite understand what we are trying to do!
• Baths (what dog does?)
• Vacuum cleaners (demon!)

Freya came to us via a large scale hoarding/abuse case in Craven County. Over 100 animals were removed from the property. However, she is coming around quickly and will make a wonderful companion.
