Marco Polo was part of a cruelty case at Wake Co Animal Shelter with several other dogs from the same place. PMR&R pulled 4 of these dogs back on October 1. While transporting Marco-then Blackie into the foster home he fishtailed and escaped. He is a street smart boy and was on the run for 3 months, we finally caught him on December 30.  Once we got him inside the foster home he quit fighting us and became a lovebug. He is doing very well in the foster home and does well with the other dogs there. I don't know how he would be with children or cats.  Due to the above he will need to have a secured fenced in backyard as he gets very frighten going outside on a leash and must use a harness as he does not like a leash just on a collar he will fight it, so having to take him out for walks and bathroom breaks would not be for him as he might try to escape again. Hence I gave him the name Marco Polo after we got him back in December.  He has been checked out by the vet and is in remarkable shape for being on the run for 3 months.
