Nena came to us all the way from Puerto Rico and she is an incredibly sweet little girl, great with other dogs kids and cats – and just wants to cuddle and snuggle. I’ve only heard her bark once – apparently former Street dogs aren’t as talkative. She has outstanding bathroom habits outside but she’s not above digging in the litter box.
She is about 24 pounds right now – she came to us a little chubby and so we have been working on diet and exercise. She has lost 2 pounds and needs to get down to about 18 or so. She is five years old. Her teeth are in great condition and she just had a cleaning.
She just loves everyone and wants to snuggle all day. She would do well in a crate but doesn't chew-- she often hangs out on the couch while her foster mom does errands. She has little to no prey drive and is not a 'door dasher'. Nena doesn't want to be more than a few feet away from her people.
Nena is very food motivated and thus would do well with obedience training and learning tricks. As of now, she knows 'sit' and goes to her spot to wait for food on command.
She is shy at first, but once she settles in she will love you forever!
