Look at those eyes... they speak volumes!  Charleigh is a sweet little dog who, like many smaller dog breeds, really bonds to one person in a household.  That doesn't mean she doesn't like other family members, only that she prefers one.  Typically the female in the house. She is a follower and is happy to accompany you everywhere you go.  She loves to curl up beside you and is a huge fan of belly rubs.  She will seek attention and nose your hand until you give in and pet her.  Charleigh is fine with older kids but I don't think a household with younger children would be suitable.   Overall, she is a lazier dog in nature and would appreciate the same kind of calm in her surroundings.  Charleigh is good with other dogs and cats. She can be playful at times and is definitely a happy and smart younger dog with a few tricks up her sleeve. 

Charleigh came into our program pregnant.  She had a tough time and ended up only having one premature puppy survive.  She has been a super mom and keeps her baby tucked up beneath her safe and sound.  She is currently weaning her baby and will be ready to meet interested parties soon. 

Charleigh will be a wonderful low-key companion dog for someone who is looking for a sidekick.
